LRC’s Hot-Topic e-Knowledgebases™

A web-based compilation of analytical legal information, frequently multinational in scope, that responds to "hot topic" and/or "market trend" questions in targeted areas of substantive law (like real estate, insurance, banking/financial services, intellectual property, etc.). An LRC Hot Topic e-Knowledgebase™ will generally include summaries of law, FAQs, trend information, and analysis and listings of, and hyperlinks to, pertinent cases, statutes, regulations, attorney general opinions, law reviews, professional literature and related websites.

For example, an LRC customer recently asked us to design a Tort Reform e-Knowledgebase, to include the following components:

Tort Reform Alert — a weekly update on changes in tort reform legislation and regulation at the federal and state level.
Tort Reform Trends Quarterly — a quarterly report discussing trends in legislative and regulatory activity and the demonstrated impact of those trends in verdicts and settlements.
Jury Verdict and Settlement Trends Quarterly — a quarterly report describing tort verdict and settlement trends.
Tort Reform Bibliography Monthly — a monthly bibliography of new tort reform literature customized to our customers' needs and interests.
Tort Reform Link Collection — a collection of links to web-based resources on tort reform developed by insurance companies and other thought leaders in the field, updated quarterly.
Biannual White Papers — a twice-yearly tort reform-related policy and analysis paper collaboratively developed by LRC for use in our customers’ lobbying and other public relations efforts.
Tort Reform Annual Report — an in-depth annual report analyzing nation-wide tort reform trends, explanatory case law, and related shifts in verdict and settlement amounts. The Annual Report incorporates statistical analyses of our customer’s verdict and settlement information against jurisdictional and industry benchmarks to guide company-specific initiatives.
